Management

The collective experiences of the management team pulls together over 50 years of direct industry experience within engineering, development, sales, marketing and finance. This experience and knowledge will be very advantageous during the next few years as Orthogroup establishes itself as a leader in the orthopedic surgical instrument market.

Henry Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer

Fletcher was the founder of Orthogroup in early 2003 and prior to that he was the President/CEO of Synvasive Technologies, Inc., which he founded in 1990; Orthogenesis, Inc. in 2003 and Gauge-Mate, LLC in 2003. From 1984 to 1990, he was a Design Engineer for Zimmer-Hall and prior to that Fletcher was employed by Laserscope as a Senior Design Engineer where he obtained a “pioneer patent” for a fiber-optic Urology device which had first year sales on over $10M. He currently holds 12 United States patents and has 10 additional patents pending for products related to hearing aids, surgical power tools, surgical implants and fiber-optic laser surgical devices. He has designing and developing medical instruments and devices for over 23 years. Fletcher received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University.

Sterling Grover II, Director of Manufacturing

Prior to joining Orthogroup in 2006, Grover spent over 10 years as chief manufacturing engineer and prototype department manager for Hayes Medical Inc., a manufacturer of hip and knee prosthetic products and orthopedic surgical instrumentation. Grover’s responsibilities at Hayes included all aspects of the development and manufacturing process from CAD/CAM design and CNC programming to concept prototyping and volume production. Prior to this Grover spent 17 years as machine shop manager, prototype machinist and CNC programmer with Harris Precision Products Inc., a contract manufacturer specializing in aerospace prototype and limited production
